Christmas 2012

Ahh Christmas...the mayhem....I am always happy to see it go I am sorry to say. Always so much packed into a short period of time and such a mess to clean up!! But now that Chloe is older, it is becoming much more fun, and now with Finley I am sure it will get better every year. Chloe only asked for 3 things from Santa....a purple scooter, a dream lite and a jake and the neverland pirates toy. She never changed her mind and she never really added. good girl. Not greedy. I spent some time talking with her about other children who may not be as lucky as her, and that if she doesn't get everything she wants, she cant be sad but grateful for what she did receive. I am happy to be able to provide for my kids, however, its very important to me that they do not grow up feeling entitled and ungrateful as so many kids are today....

Psychadelic Christmas tree...but I liked it.

Cookies and milk left out for Santa... and reindeer food...gone!!

Before the mayhem....Chloe slept until 7:30 Christmas morning which is unheard of! She is usually up at 6-6:30. But unlike my mom...I let her sleep :)....never wake up sleeping children even on Christmas!

My happy mom moment.....Chloe runs out and sees the tree, gives it a once over and says " Well I don't see my scooter mom, I guess Santa didn't bring me one, but its ok, I am not sad, I am sure  I have other nice things"....ahh. Its sinking in. Now to maintain......but of course....

Stocking stuffers are my favorite

Finley's participate, but she did find a new elephant teether in her stocking!

Still not enthused

Franks Lloyd Wright Martin House pictures spelling out Buffalo

Toys are fun but educational toys more important

Ahh the dream lite...thank you Santa!

Jake and the Neverland Pirates.....

Still hanging

Chloe made this for Jon and I at school. I love homemade gifts.

Babe Ruth....hand drawn by a local Buffalo artist. Same who took pics of the Martin House.
Handsome man.....I mean Babe Ruth :)

Whats this? The last gift, hidden? In true Christmas Story fashion

OMG the purple scooter!!! Santa did remember!

Atomic bomb hit the Claeys house

Successful Christmas....however, I couldn't help but feeling slighted after all our hard work in getting these presents...Santa gets all the credit and adoration...hmm....
