Trick or Treat!!!

Chloe has had a vocabulary explosion. She is coming up with new words all the time. Things that you would not expect and Jon and I just look at each other wondering...she is repeating ever word she hears and just has it down. Slowly starting to get two words together sometimes. She has been doing realy well at her toddler room in daycare and seems to really be enjoing the songs, activities and crafts. Tonight she busted out singing, in her toddler way, twinkle twinkle...what?!
She has such a personality all ready. But she also has quite the temper...takes after Jon of course...ha!........When she doesnt get her way she is not happy and trys to hit. We have started time out with her which she of course has put her own twist on in. If I say she is being naughty and should go to time out she says "uh huh" and takes herself there! every day is something different and new.
"Grandma Julie" who I work with gave her a goodie bag of treats for Halloween with a coloring book and crayons and this is her new obsession! " lolur, lolur" she says over and over! 6:30 am on the weekend and she is asking to lolur! She loves the crayons and drawing. She even holds the crayon right!!
Below are some pics at our poor attempt to trick or treat. It was cold and she was not interested in the whole thing. It was all we could do to get her costume on and have a photo op.....

We went to my friend Jill's neighborhood with more little kids. We tried a few houses until we met up with a scary barking dog, and that was it!!

More Fall Fun!!!

Chloe had a "hoe down" at school the friday before halloween. They had some anmals come in and just had a nice day full of activities. I tried to put her in her best "hoe down" outfit I had. So I attempted some braids which she screamed her head off at with a cute skirt and peasant top. Rave reviews from all. They were having pony rides and I thought we should warn the teacher about how she gets freaked out around animals. So I told them of course try but dont be suprised if she becomes hysterical...which has happened with poor bacchus.....of course she RODE THE PONY!!!! of course she would. Mom and dad werent there. Her teacher said she had a blast!!!
Halloween Day we are off to Becker Farms. Another local favorite farm, this is at least and actual farm. It was so nice there, however it was very windy and cold......

Nice vineyards. There is wine tasting on site, its part of the Niagara Wine Trail, as well as a brewery on site. We had a nice time drinking hot cider and eating fresh homemade donuts.

Here is the little one trucking around the farm and chacking thinks out. There was a little kid area with farm rides and things but it was closed so we checked the place out. There was a animal place....

With a PONY!!! As you can see, she wants nothing to do with the poor pony...she had JUST ridden one the day before!!!

On our way home relaxing from the stress of the pony and goats!

Pumpkin Carving!

Here is our Wegmans Pumpkin!! We tried to get Chloe excited to carve a pumpkin this year....she did not enjoy herself and wished very much to be somewhere else. She was often asking to get down, all done...over and over in the hopes of getting out of her chair!!
She could care less. She didnt want to touch anything. She is just like her mother and does not like to get her hands dirty or messy!

At one point she had her head in her hands yawning as if to say how bbboorrrrrriinnnngg....she unfortunatly moved when I tried to get that picture,

Finished product, we lit it up but hard to see here.

We baked the seeds and they were so yummy!

Fall Fun!!!

I decided we should head out to a pumpkin patch one wonderful sunny sunday to experience some fall fun. I had heard of a place called The Great Pumpkin Farm close to where I work, so though, why not.....it started out looking like a neat place. The parking lot that was the size of a lot a Ralph Wilson stadium should have given us a clue...there were people everywhere!! It was loud and totally not our scene, we turned a corner and there was a carnival! Not expected at all, we were instantly all three of us with high anxiety. But we decided to stick it out for Chloe's sake, who was not really into it either!

attempting to get a picture. She was not to interested in it. We were going to get some pumpkins but the lines were 50 people long to wait despite the people coming out with wheel barrels full of pumpkins!!

Chloe finally letting lose and being a little silly.....

My thoughts of a nice fall picture did not materialize. It was all we could do to get this one accomplished.

Just a small taste of the pumkins everywhere! There is the carnival behind. In the end we got a pumpkin from wegmans that was half the price with no line!! Go Wegmans!!

Our Vacation!!!!!

Jon and I had a very busy week off from work. The daycare was closed and we started the week off with a trip to Fantasy Island with Jason, Julie, Eva, Declan and Caitlin. The kids had a great time. It was sooooo hot, so needless to say we spent some time in the water park. Here are just a few pics of the kids on rights. Chloe was not interested in the rides. We did ride the big train which I forgot to take pics of! Chloe had her 18month check up which went well. She is growing good. Still a little peanut and is only 21.1 pounds...her height is good though. Very chatty. Picks up on words so well and using them to say up, or more please ect....thank you. So cute...almost all her teeth in, just working on the last two eye teeth for now! She started in a new room at daycare, the toddler room..its official! She is already drinking from a big cup with no lid and is no longer napping in a crib there. She is in the big time now!!! She really enjoys herself there. Cant complain. She has been doing well with the potty. We dont push it, but always ask and sometimes she will sit and others she wont. When she sits its for a while and she has gone potty a bunch of times now, so we are sure to celebrate it! She is sitting on the big potty at daycare as well....all in all she is coming along......

We put a little kiddie pool in the back yard at the beginning of summer and Chloe didnt really show a whole lot of interest in it. Between the weather or not being home she was only in about 4-5 times. So when we got to the water park I though for sure she wouldnt have anything to do with it, and it started slow....

But as time went on I was able to get her further into the water, and she actually let go of her death grip on me and started to enjoy herself and the waves crashin on her. Then we had a hard time tryin to get her out. She had a blast!

The next day we start to make our treck out to Cooperstown. Jon and I hadnt been since high school and though we would give it a try. Beautiful town and area, however, not toddler and stroller friendly. It was hard to navigate. What was harder than we though was traveling the 4 hours in a car with a toddler who does not nap, and then expecting her to ride around in a stroller in a quiet museum!! What were we thinking. It didnt take long her her to start to meltdown..poor thing....

She is starting to reak havoc...I let her out of the stroller because it wasnt busy and thought if she could strectch her legs it might help.......thought the binky might help....not so much....

We managed to survive relatively unscathed but Jon wasnt able to look at everything he wanted and it was defnetly cut short. Lesson learned with a toddler. We went back to the hotel and put her to bed at 7p and then were like what do we do now, its 7 and we are in a dark room with a toddler asleep in the pack in play....poor planning!!! Still Nice to be away. They next day on our way out we stopped at the farmers museum, which I loved!

Lots of beautiful old buildings that were just amazing. It was just opning and there were not many people so Chloe could get out and run. She did not however show any interest in the mary go round or the animals...She was say no..no.. when we saw animals walking around...

Horse and buggy that she was for some reason afraid of.....Daddy and Chloe on our way out and off to Aunt Kates!

Our trip visitng Aunt Kate started off with Chloe being absolutely petrified of their dog Bacchus. I cant figure out where her fear of dogs has happened. But its there. The poor thing could not even lift its head without Chloe freaking out, sso, ggoood ole Bubba had to hang with Mikes parents for a few days....

Violet has this nifty motorized trike that the kids loved...Here is Chloe and Noah checking it out with Matt and Jon. The men took over kid duty and it was hysterical watching them!

Noah and Violet so nicely taking turns on the trike. They were soooo good and sharing!
Chloe had a blast goingg ddown the slide and trying to climb up it the wrong way, not doubt givingg her father a heart attack I am sure.

Chloe needed and bath and Kolt was getting one so of course Kate and I think "photo op" well Kolt is in usual adorable self was over the moon to have a bath playmate, and wanted to splash and giggle. Chloe, not so much....

Still trying to figure out why the kid is invading her tub time!

Next morning, keep trying to get the kids all together for a pic and it just did not happen. Noah was nice enough to try to hug Chloe on his way out, and this was as good as we could get.
