Zoo trip

While home on maternity....looking to keep chloe busy. The girls made a trip to the zoo. Here is an elephants butt!! Couldnt get a good shot.

Chloe asked me over and over to do this "kangaroo hop" ride. I wasnt sure she would actually go through with it, so I offered many choices to redirect her to something else. she wouldnt let it go, to smart for my tactics....so I let her. She had a blast, barely made the weight cutoff by one pound!

Once she got going she was going really high! It wasnhard to keep it going because she was so light

So far so good with the new sisters. Chloe is over the moon for her little sister, thank goodness. She is always wanting to hold her, kiss, and hug her. No ill will about sharing the spotlight. she has, however, given Jon and I a run for our money the first week with Finley home. All very normal, but taxing on low sleep and hormones. We were all adjusting oto having a new little one in our lives....but going better than I thought it owould. 

Even though it wasnt lthat long ago, I have forgotten how much newborns sleep....even second time around its still amazing that this klittle one was just in my stomach a week ago. I just cant get over it. I am over the moon for her too....

Finley Catherine Claeys!!!!

6 am in the morning. Grandma Anne so  nicely out to hang with Chloe while we go to the hospital to have Finley. Last shot as a famnily of three. Sad for me for some reason. I felt bad for Chloe and excited at the same time. We had to be at the hospital at 7am. Jon and I stopped at Tim Hortons on the way, as is tradition, we did non the way to have Chloe.

 Last shot of pregnant me,. 39 weeks....As before, tired of insulin shots, and 4 times a day blood sugar cecks for my gestational diabetes...ready to rock and roll and meet this new baby of ours!

 Finley Catherine Claeys.....born after 2.5hrs of natural child birth from water break to birth. Chloe was 4hrs....It was a great experience. Poor little Fin came so fast, despite us wairning everyone this was how we do it, that one push and she shot out across the bed. I was not on my back but more of a squatting/leaning position. They were not ready for her!!!

 Looking at my honey...just as amazing as the first time...even more so. I think second time around you know what to expexct and can enjoy the experience more. At least for me. It was not overwhelming like a first time mom feeling.

 So interesting story. We went in at 7am to be induced...We didnt even get the process tstarted until after two! Apprently spo many women were showing up to have babies the were running out of rooms! Something like 29 babies born in 48hrs or something! Baby Boom at the hospital....we watched several movies while we waited for out turn....Devils Advocate, Stigmata and The Prophecy....
