July!! busy busy busy

Oh the Beans.....she has become quite the character. She is so animated. Always talking. Points at everything, questions everything. She has about 10 words now. Bye bye, hi, dada, momma, ball, all done, hot, no (of course), is it?, uh oh, thats all I can think of right now. So many things actually sound like words and phrases but arent consistant. She is definetly running now, and testing that as well has climbing on everything. She still wants to play with the weirdest things. Paper, the remote, the camera case, tupperware lids. She pretty much ignores most toys. She does have a stuffed bear with her name on it she got for christmas and has become quite attached to that. She does pretty good with her sign language. She does more, milk, drink, eat, all done and hat. Strange mix. The basics, but they sure do help.

We very recently started to try potty training. Most of her tantrums are at diaper changing time and especially in the morning. She wants nothing to do with getting her diaper changed, and sometimes it takes two of us in the am to hold and get a fresh morning diaper on her. So I decided to buy her a potty and some pullups and start getting her into action. First couple of days she was about 1 second on the potty. I taught her the potty sign and she picked up on that in no time, and already hs that down. Just today she actually sat for about 2 mins.....work in progress. No pee in the potty yet though.

Chloe and daddy-
Her tantrums have been worse. She is so independent already and wants what she wants at times and wont take no for an answer. So sometimes she lets it rip!!! Cant beleive that adorable face could do that, but oh yes. Kicking and screaming her bloody head off at times. And then she is fine. I do time out with her in her crib when she gets that way and it seems to work and calm her. Some days are better than others. She is so funny and such a happy kid. very inquisitive.

Her wonder woman t- shirt. Wonder women used to be my favorite when I was little, when it was ok to have curves and be a brunette and still be fierce.

This is our first attempt at getting into the pool!! Not so happy at first, but she is getting to love it Of course if its not as warm as bath water she is hesitant. This swim suit used to be Kalyssa's, she will be 11 this year!! And Violet and Kai have both worn it and now Chloe...how cute. I still have a pic of kalyssa in this suit, but not on the computer!! So cute.

We were in rochester for the 4th of July picnic. Chloe and I got to meet some members of Jon's family from out of state. She had a great time! Didnt nap so I was a nervous wreck that the tantrum hammer was going to come down any minute but it didnt. Jon and I took her took the lake and she put her feet in. Aunt Laura and Aunt Julie had her down by the water too. Not so sure if she liked it much.

Swinging upside down with daddy....

Catching up!!!

So we have been very busy and very behind so I am going to have to catch up the last few months!!! So much has happened.

May- Chloe started walking out of nowhere...across the living room one day. She was 14months. She has been furniture walking for what seemed like forever, two months, and I thought she would never take the plunge and there she was. It was all uphill, or down, from there!! She is funny with her new found exploration. All over the place, up and down testing her skills. We had a BBQ at the end of May for Jons birthday, and of course she had the opportunity she show her walking skills, but was shy and not feeling well while everyone was around.

June- 15months old now and some sort of switch has flipped. The tantrums have started. I thought it was too early!!! Just little ones here and there and they seemed to disolve on their own or quickly, but still seemed to soon. Her 15 month check up was good. Her stats are 20.2lbs and 30 inches. Still 50% for height and about 15% for weight. Still a peanut but doctors are fine with her growth. No issues. She is starting at this point to get her molars in. The doctor noticed that her gums were red and swollen. She started popping all four molars in at one time!!! Ahhhh...trying our patience. She did get some shots after this appointment and a week later I am home with her becasue of a fever. Well she likes to open and close doors all the time and I was trying to close the bathroom door while I was in there and she was pushing back, or so I thought. Come to find out her fingers were in the jam and I was pushing!!! Blood curdling screams followed and she took off running through the house...she had indents on the back and front of two fingers where skin was ripped off and bloody!!! Poor thing she was beside her self. But healed fine and was not the worse for wear.

The LA Lakers were in the finals this year. Nail biter for Jon and I. We had Chloe all decked out of course. She has matching Kobe Bryant sneakers on to go with shirt. The Lakers won!!!
