Our little and I mean little....bean

So we had our 1yr check up recently, and latest stats are 18.7 lbs and 28.75 inches long. We are growing, but we are underweight on all the charts. Length is good. Baby Kolt is about to pass us and he is still a young man!!! Chloe eats like crazy I am not sure how she can be underweight, but it is what it is. The doc says that her molars are coming in!! What!! It seems way to early. And her last round of teeth was 6 in, in 2 months. I though we were going to get a break. She has been making strides like crazy! She within the last few days started to pull to stand, out of the blue. And now she is pulling up on everything and making Jon really nervous. He thinks she will impale herself on everything. I of course am the more independent parent, suprise there, and I tell him she will learn, and I let her go...he then reminds me that she fell off our bed on my watch...months go. She has a little car that converts to a push toy, so we tried it with her for the first time, and she walked right across the living room floor! She makes a lot of hysterical faces, and squeals with laughter at everything. Its a great age but exhausting for mom and dad. She never slows down unless she is eating or sleeping.
Being cheesy. Her hair is so out of control. All the new hair growing in sticks up everywhere. And the hair left from birth is so long, hangs past her chin so I keep it pulled up or its a crazy mess.

Baby Zoey came for a visit for some corn beef and cabbage for St. Patricks day. Chloe was not to happy to pose, this was the best one we could get. Zoey is just chillaxin in the bobby. Cant wait to get these two running around together next year!

1st Birthday Party!!!

Our little Chloe Beans has turned one on 3/2/2010!! We had a party at the house for her with some friends and family. Thanks to everyone who could not make the party for all the well wishes. We had a full house, and it took chloe a while to warm up to everyone being there. This was a pic before we had our party dress on...she already looks tired before we have begun. The cake above I actually made myself....yes made and frosted myself. I decided it was way cheaper than buying and of course I could do it. And it turned out great! I decorated it myself as well as the cupcakes, and even mixed my own frosting to make additional colors. Ahhh what motherhood does to you. First cake I think I have every made. Not to bad....

Chloe with daddy. She did not want to put her party hat on for anything. Some of the other kiddos were being good sports.

Caitlin and Eva at the party, cousins, wearing party hats. Declan didnt want to wear a hat or get in the picture...

Starting to eat her cupcake. She was really quite dainty about the whole thing. She didnt make to much of a mess. I had a matt underneath her to prepare and it was barely messy. She did plop a big load of frosting in her tights, we later discovered.

She is all done and feeling the sugar I think. She didnt act like she just had eaten a cupcake full of sugar. Until the next day, and then it hit her. She was a lunatic!

Here is a picture of the table and decorations before anyone arrived. I amde cupcakes for the kids and forgot to get them in the picture.

Oh the Beans....

Oh the beans....its amazing how much things change. Never thought I would say that. She is suddenly very shy, even with the camera now. She puts her hands up to her face while she is trying to figure something out and get comfortable with it. Lots of firsts for the end of february. We started brushing our teeth! She has eight now so I figured we better get on the ball. She actually does very well with it, I thought she would give me a hard time. She opens her mouth right up and lets me get the fronts, backs and gums. She must like the taste.
Moved into a big girl carseat. She was long over due. The straps wouldnt pull out any further so we took the plunge. These carseats are so high tech these days with their cup holders and side impact panels....amazng we ever survived childhood.
We started taking baths in the big bath tub! Poor thing, that little toddler bathtub was not cutting it. Her poor legs were scrunched up and she had nowhere to move. She is a little leary about the big tub, slowly exploring and worrying about the slipperyness off it. Her facial expressions are so funny.

Chloe has definetly been becoming so much more verbal. She is talking and babbling and squealing like crazy! She says alot of Da da and Daaad daaad. Cant get her to say mama for anything. She has this really funny laugh/squeal that she likes to do before that deep beely laugh comes in. the sweatest sounds you have ever heard....
