Christmas 2012

Ahh Christmas...the mayhem....I am always happy to see it go I am sorry to say. Always so much packed into a short period of time and such a mess to clean up!! But now that Chloe is older, it is becoming much more fun, and now with Finley I am sure it will get better every year. Chloe only asked for 3 things from Santa....a purple scooter, a dream lite and a jake and the neverland pirates toy. She never changed her mind and she never really added. good girl. Not greedy. I spent some time talking with her about other children who may not be as lucky as her, and that if she doesn't get everything she wants, she cant be sad but grateful for what she did receive. I am happy to be able to provide for my kids, however, its very important to me that they do not grow up feeling entitled and ungrateful as so many kids are today....

Psychadelic Christmas tree...but I liked it.

Cookies and milk left out for Santa... and reindeer food...gone!!

Before the mayhem....Chloe slept until 7:30 Christmas morning which is unheard of! She is usually up at 6-6:30. But unlike my mom...I let her sleep :)....never wake up sleeping children even on Christmas!

My happy mom moment.....Chloe runs out and sees the tree, gives it a once over and says " Well I don't see my scooter mom, I guess Santa didn't bring me one, but its ok, I am not sad, I am sure  I have other nice things"....ahh. Its sinking in. Now to maintain......but of course....

Stocking stuffers are my favorite

Finley's participate, but she did find a new elephant teether in her stocking!

Still not enthused

Franks Lloyd Wright Martin House pictures spelling out Buffalo

Toys are fun but educational toys more important

Ahh the dream lite...thank you Santa!

Jake and the Neverland Pirates.....

Still hanging

Chloe made this for Jon and I at school. I love homemade gifts.

Babe Ruth....hand drawn by a local Buffalo artist. Same who took pics of the Martin House.
Handsome man.....I mean Babe Ruth :)

Whats this? The last gift, hidden? In true Christmas Story fashion

OMG the purple scooter!!! Santa did remember!

Atomic bomb hit the Claeys house

Successful Christmas....however, I couldn't help but feeling slighted after all our hard work in getting these presents...Santa gets all the credit and adoration...hmm....

Little Missers

I just love this little peanut. Another crazy hair baby for sure. Her hair is half curly and half straight and it seems the new stuff growing in is very light in color. Right now her eyes are blue!! Couple of months to change if they are going to but they don't show signs of it. She is 5 months old in the following pics. I cant believe I would have a possible blue eyed and very light haired child....seems strange.

Finley is such a joy. She is so happy and layed back...most of the time. Seems to have a personality more like Jon, as Chloe is my clone. Mixed reviews on who she looks like. Jons family says she looks like him as a baby. People I work with who know both of us are mixed, and people I work with who only know me, think she looks more like me. I definitely think she has my eyes. And looks a lot like a baby picture I have of myself, but she also looks similar to Jons baby pic. So who knows. Time will tell, these little cuties morph so much in the first two years anything can happen.

She loves this little jumper. Jumps like crazy and its hysterical to watch her little legs kicking all over! She sits in this think and chats away.

Christmas Card Attempts

Capturing the very silly side of Chloe, which seems to be making more of an appearance lately. Her imagination is really starting to take off. She comes up with some crazy stories, and even has her own language that she will talk to Jon and I. Of course we look at her very confused. She will have a conversation with herself in this language. Interesting.....

The following are the many attempts to get a good picture for our Christmas card....They are funny. If one looked good and smiling the other was somewhere else! Many takes, love the faces....

Definitely her mothers daughter. Although she likes dresses way more than I ever have.
