Summer time Fun!!!

Chloe Ann is our little budding conversationalist. Everything is what cha doing now? Where you going? Whats dad doing? You picking me up at school today? Can we go to the store? ect....She doesnt ask why so mcu, just full blown questions about every little thing thats happening. Her sleeping in the big girl bed has gone great. She went through a little stage wtih one more drink, cover me up ect. But now seems to have gotten over that. She has been diaper free during the day for 4 wks now with only one accident!!! I was telling the teacher at daycare one day how she goes for hrs at home dry, and we were putting underwear on her on the weekends. She said "then start sending underwear in"!!! So I hesitantly said ok, thinking this was going to be aweful. Nope, she suprised yet again and has only had that one accident which the teacher says was really her fault. So here we are, almost potty trained I would say. Almost overnight. She only wears diapers at night, and I think that might take a bit, but I will take it!! Even when we go to resturants or the mall she is good and will sit on the big potty. Growing up!!
She has decided, all on her own that jon and I are now "mom" and "dad". Not sure where she got this, we dont reffer to each other that way. She will say "mom" are we going to the store". Seems to youg to hear that all ready......

Here she is below "mowing the lawn" with daddy. She loves to be outside. All day long if we let her.

One of her most favorite things is riding her bike. She loves this! up and down the driveway. She has been able to pedel for months now, but just learning how to turn. She loves to go on big bike rides with mommy and daddy. Of course we stop at a playground and somtimes stop for icecream to share. To many dairy queens around!!

Below are some picture from the Ride for Roswell. This is a annual ride for cancer research. This was our first time riding this year with a team from my work. We raised $250. Next yr we shoot for more. We did a 3mike ride which was for families and small kids. next yr we will kick that up too!! they went to slow! Maybe the 8 or 20....

Funny story that happened just today. She was suposed to be taking a nap...since big girl bed for 2 months she has never gotten out of bed. Today we hear some thumps.....I open up the bedroom door and walk in. Its dark and I cant see her, I slip on something on the floor. Look down, there is lotion all over the floor, smeared. She was standing behind the door from when it opened, I had her come out.....she had lotion as thick as possible all over her legs, arms and hands. Even some on her face!!!! It was like caked on!!! I am trying to tell her how naughty it was, while trying t keep a straight face...but the scene was hysterical. She just stood there looking shocked that we had caught her. I wanted so bad to take a picture to blog it, but instead I maintained the teaching moment and explained why we dont do this. She had an entire bottle of lotion squeezed out on the floor and on her arms and legs, and all over her clothes. I failed to mention that she scaled the changing table, that I now use as storage, got to the top tier, 3 lvels up to get the lotion. All this in the dark!!!! This crazy kid....

THis is a video on her bike, hope this shows up ok....

Spring Time Fun!!!

These Pictures I am sure will be all out of order, but here goes. Instead of short frequent posts, like my fellow bloggers, I have opted for very long, every few months posts. Thats all I have time for!!! The following are the last few months since Chloe's birthday party. She has been budding right along and growing like a weed. She is very inquisitive and wants to know about everything. She talks in long sentances and can count pretty good to 10. Sometimes she leaves a number out here or there, and her ABC's are pretty good. She loves to sing and bring her songs home from school for mommy to sing with her. She loves music....and will stop at her favorite commercials to sing and dance. Potty training is a work in progress. Some days are better than others. Here are some pics from Easter. We also went to Strong Memorial Museum that weekend, but left those pics out. Below are the Claeys grandkids:

Poor Declan is out numbered. Since this photo was taken we have found out that Aunt Julie is having twin girls. poor Declan will need some more males in this family!!! I think its hysterical that the one with the serious face is the 2yr old....wondering what everyone else is doing?

Aunt Julie made fantastic center pieces for easter, and place settings. She is so crafty.

This is the center piece made out of peeps!!

This was Chloe's loot after the easter egg hunt. And no I did not let her eat the chocolate. Aunt Laura was nice enough to bring her organice gummie bears! Thanks Aunt Laura!!

Dring the easter egg hunt

More easter egg hunt on a cold and rainy day

So I decided that it would be fun to have Chloe decorate her own chocolate easter bunny....Hmm. she had fun, and needless to say it was interesting.

Finished product

Jons band playing out at a memorial day party. We went to the park, played outside and enjoyed the weather that was finally nice!! and now its too hot....refuse to turn on the AC.

So I was just talking with Kate and Liz about moving Chloe into a big girl bed. Ddint see a reason for it, she had not attempted to get out or in. No sooner did I say that and about a week later, there she is trying to climb in and out!! So we decided memorial day was as good as time as any to try out her toddler bed....here is Jon putting it together...Chloe was so excited, we went shopping for a comforter set! She couldnt stop talking about her new bed.....

These are out of order!!! AHH.....THis is our day trip to Olcott Beach. It was cold and windy!

THis is a picturesque view of historic olcott beach where I used to play as a kid!

Here is Chloe prepping for her big Ride for Roswell ride. We are riding to fight Cancer!!!

Here are the rest of the big girl bed photos.....So We decided to try it out on a long weekend in case she didnt sleep. But she has been sleeping like a champ with no problems...It was like no big deal at all. At this point she stays in bed and everything....we will keep our fingers crossed...

Happy Birthday Chloe!!!!

Happy Birthday Chloe!! Our little girl turned 2 on 3/2/2011. Who can believe all this time has gone by. Went to the doctor for our 2yr check up and passed with flying colors. The kid grew 3 inches and gained 3lbs since last check up 6m ago! The doctor seemed very impressed by all this growing. Of course mommy new because she was blowing out of all her pants!! So now she tops out at 34inches and 24lbs. Growing like a weed. 2yr molars have been coming in follwing a double ear infection so things have been great!.....still working on potty training. Sometimes she will sit on the potty and sometimes not. One day at a time. On the weekends when we have all day with her, we take her to sit 100 times, and never fails on the 101st time when we dont run her back, she goes.....of course. She is very good at saying please and thank you. We work very hard on it. She can count to 10...and is apparently speaking spanish words with one of the teachers at daycare. She loves to pick up anything and "read" it outloud. Its pretty hysterical how she incorporates anything she sees or hears into the story she is reading. Below are some pics of her birthday fun! The whole family was there.....
We had cupcakes and cake with a jungle theme. CHloe loves monkeys and likes to make the noise....oo oo ahh ahh all the time.

Chloes Cozy Coop that she got from grandma and grandpa Claeys. Out of order picture.......cant wait to get it outside, out of the living room....when the weather is nice! Monkey Cake that mommy slaved over!!!
Jeez I wonder who she looks like?!
We talked all week about her party, which she had been obessed with since Eva and Declans birthday in January. She was always singing....happy to you eva/declan. I had to tell her over and over that it was her birthday now....Happy to you......chloe

All the little kids going crazy fo rmehgan and her fruit melts.
All the little cousins and friends over to help chloe open presents. She was actually interested this time and had fun!! Cousin Declan always loves to help little chloe, and loves to play with her.

Chloe playing with her "hoop" that mommy and daddy got her for her birthday. She loves to shoot the hoop!! And mommy also cant wait for nice weather for this to be outside too.......

Auntie Mehgan was nice enough to get chloe some sunglassess, which she obsesses about...that matches a cute bathing suit, hat and sandels. Cant wait to get the whol ensemble together this summer!
