Fall Fun/Halloween 2012

Its really amazing how time flies....I just cant say or think it enough. These kids grow up so fast and before we know it we will be talking about college. I jut handed in Chloe's application for Universal Pre-K for 4yr olds....first of all an application. It seems mind boggling since where I grew up there was one school and that's where you went. Now we need an application to make sure we get her in a school of our choice! Very overwhelming.
Finley is already 3 months old and starting to babble and be more baby and less infant. So cute and chubby.
Fall is my favorite time of  year...I love the smell of the crisp clean air, the colors, raking leaves...yes raking leaves and having the kids outside....

I just love this little face and these chubby cheeks....cant kiss them enough

Pumpkin carving! Below is Daddys design, and Chloe picked out a special pumpkin for Finley that she drew wonderful pictures on

Finley's pumpkin carving debute....she is not to impressed with the process

 Finley's special pumpkin from Chloe.....

Finished product...way better than the ready made carved pumpkins or the cheater designs!! This is  designed by Jon Claeys Registered Architect! haha

Halloween! Chloe changed her mind a million times on what she wanted to be. After three stores, see chose strawberry shortcake! We made rosey cheeks with freckles and sprayed her hair red!

Finley wearing bean sprout that Chloe wore when she was little....too cute

Every year we go trick or treating in my friend Jill's neighborhood. There are more kids and people participating and easy to walk. Chloe has a blast every year, and ever year it gets more fun. Little chilly this year, had to layer her up. This year the theme for people was apparently to take their screens out of their front doors to hand out candy. All seemed harmless until we made it to a house that had the screen out of their lower section that was eye level with us as we ascended the stairs. Then out of nowhere comes a dog, barking and sprinting to the opening. Scared Chloe so much she literally jumped off the porch screaming, jumping at me, luckily I caught her. And she was screaming and crying. The girl who was passing out candy was so upset that Chloe was so upset that she tried to hand the the whole bowl of candy! Al the while she was crying and apologizing...what a mess....then chloe was ready to go home! Poor thing......

Pumpkinville 2012

Usually we go to Becker Farms for our fall fix and pumpkin gathering. This year we decided to try a new farm down near Ellicottville....Pumpkinville. We were definitely taking our city girls to the country on this trip. Like being back home, we were way way into country living. It was a nice fall ride, and a beautiful day. It was around 70degrees for October!! Love homemade donuts and cider. Chloe and I took a "hayride" funny there was no hay! I was looking forward to seeing the cider mill and having an educational moment with chloe, but it was closed and so was the corn maize. However, good fun was still had by all.....

Welcome to Pumpkinville!!! After 1hr and 15 mins in the car.....

Pumpkins everywhere. The "self pick" pumpkin patch was picked over, but there were plenty here to choose from....
Finleys excitement while we waited for pulled pork goodness
 70 degress in October

Love these pictures of her crawling through this wooden train

Genuine farm animals for Chloe to see, and she is genuinely afraid of going near them....as per usual.

Chloe insisted that she was going to go on a pony ride. Was very excited about it and talked about it constantly....I mean "after all mom, I rode ponies at school a bunch of times". She has in fact ridden a pony at her annual school hoe down....however, when confronted with the pony...there was no way she was getting on!!!

These cut out pictures as cheese tastic as they are, make me laugh hysterically....and its not often that you can get Jon into a photo.

Chloe and I are going on our Hayride, with no hay, and leaving Jon and Finley behind...

Some Ponies roaming the farm on our trip

 Again, these hilarious things.....

End of the day....back to the pumpkin patch to retrieve out pumpkins to take home.....
